The company is structured into three Business units, which focus on specific core areas of the business.

South Wales Electric – Harare Division – The Unit manufactures switchgear, distribution and power transformers. It also has facilities to provide full back up service and repair to transformers of different makes. It is headed by a qualified Electrical Engineer.

COMPANY EXPERIENCE

South Wales Electric is amongst the leading manufacturers and suppliers of transformer and switchgear in Sub-Saharan Africa. Registered in the then Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in 1958, the company successfully commissioned a plant for distribution transformers in 1961. The company has grown with the expansion of the energy sector in the country. In 1971, a plant with capacity to manufacture power transformers up 50MVA, 132KV was commissioned. read more...
